10 Last Minute DIY Stocking Stuffers

Are you a last minute Christmas person? I usually plan out the gifts for everyone in advance but then somehow do it last minute haha. This year I have actually been more on top of things and did a lot of shopping online which helped a lot!! But, being only a few days before Christmas, ordering online won’t work for you! Don’t stress though!! I have 10 ideas for some last minute stocking stuffers that you can make yourself!
I love getting handmade gifts! This year I have made pretty much everyone in my life a handmade shirt/ sweater because as you guys know, I started an Etsy shop recently so I have all the stuff to make hand pressed apparel! That has been so fun and getting to personalize things for my friends and family has lit me up! Can’t wait for them to see it all.
Anyways, let’s jump into the 10 DIY stocking stuffer gift ideas 🙂
Hot Chocolate Mason Jars
Such an easy gift and I bet you have all the ingredients in your house right now. But if you don’t, a quick trip to the grocery store will get you everything you need! You could even get creative with different flavors! This post will teach you how to go about this if you need some help and even comes with printable gift tags to add to the jar. How fun!
DIY Bookmarks
The perfect small gift for a book lover in your life! I know I love getting new bookmarks to add to my collection. Check out the blog post to get all the instructions! ALSO – if you want to get really creative you can also buy the blank bookmarks from Michaels and draw or paint something by hand on them!!
Oreo Peppermint Chocolate Bark
I think everyone has tried chocolate bark at some point. Its so yummy and such an easy treat to make yourself. Follow the instructions to make your own and as usual, add whatever you want to make it your own!
Manicure In A Jar
This is a really fun idea for anyone at any age. Young kids would have a great time with this and adults can always use some “me time” so I’m sure this would be a hit. You can go as big or small as you want with this one. Add their favorite color nail polish and a few other items and you are done! You could even wrap the jar in some cute ribbon or put a personalized label on it!
Knit Washcloths
Okay, so this one is a little more involved. But if you already have some knowledge on how to knit or you are a quick learner, this ones for you! Follow along with the instructions from this blog post and you will soon have your very own handmade washcloths which is pretty freaking cool!
Bath Bombs
So, hilarious story – me and my fiancé, Nick, bought a bath bomb kit one time. It came with everything you needed to make a few bath bombs and all the instructions. We poured a glass of wine (actually, a few glasses) and got to work. However, when we got to the part where you put the mixture in the mold… well it exploded. Like, literally blew up in our faces!! Obviously we did something wrong but it was so funny and is still such a hilarious memory.
I hope if you decide to do this DIY it goes better than it did for me! I believe in you. One tip – maybe don’t have multiple glasses of wine while doing it lol! Follow the instructions and I’m sure it’ll be fine!
Fabric Covered Tree Ornament
How freaking cute?? I love these so much and would love to get this in my stocking. Heck, I might even make some for my tree before Christmas. Read the blog post for the instructions on how to do this craft.
DIY Funny Socks
These are so good and the best part, can be 100% personalized. You can make something yourself if you have a machine like the Cricut but can also buy ready to use patterns! All you really need is an iron to press them on! Who doesn’t like socks? Such a Christmas staple. Check out the post for the how-to!
Mason Jar Candles
Making candles has been something I’ve wanted to do for so long. It looks so fun!! Anyone who makes their own candles please tell me about it. I need to know!
These ones are PERFECT for Christmas because they are peppermint scented. Also, make sure you make yourself one as well because everyone needs a new candle 🙂
Wooden Bracelets
Such an easy and cute gift for someone who likes jewelry. First off, jewelry can be so pricey and hard to pick for someone. Making your own gives you the freedom to use materials and colors they like and have that special handmade touch! I can definitely see myself making these in the future! Materials needed and instructions can be found in the post!
I hope you found some gift ideas you like (or maybe something for yourself). Let me know if you end up making any of these!!! I would love to know how it went 🙂
