February 2022 Wrap Up | Books, Smoothies, & Goal Progress

Happy almost March! Can you believe how fast time is going? I feel like I say that so often now but it’s true. February was a good month for me! I had a lot of fun and I have really started to get a grasp on some of my goals which feels AMAZING. Although, a few of my goals have kind of hit the backburner… So I guess, baby steps? I hope that you all have been working hard on your goals and have had a good month! I’d love to hear about it so let me know in the comments how you’ve been!

I’m back with another monthly wrap up! It is just so fun to share and if I’m being honest, it’s just a great way to keep track of things for myself and be able to look back at what I was doing that month 😊 So let’s get into it!

What I read in February:

As you all know I am an avid reader! My goal for 2022 is 50 books and I am already at 16 books. Heck ya! These are the books I read in Feb. If you want to follow along a little closer with my reading you can follow my bookstagram here.

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco – I haven’t loved a book as much as I loved this book in a long time! Perfect for a newbie in the fantasy department. Full of mystery, witches, princes of Hell, and family curses.

Kingdom of the Cursed by Kerri Maniscalco – This is the sequel to the above book. It was just as good as the first with a little added spice! Gotta love a witch/demon relationship am I right?

Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey – I listened to this one on audio and was not disappointed! I loved every second of this fake dating romance. It was super spicy so don’t make the same mistake as I did and listen to it at work, oops.

On a Night of a Thousand Stars by Andrea Yaryura Clark – I was gifted this book from the publisher, thanks Grand Central Publishing!! I loved this book. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time which I find happens often with historical fiction. It follows a dual timeline all about the Argentina Dirty War in the 1970’s and the lasting effects 20 years later.

Tokyo Ever After by Emiko Jean – Another fun book! This is very much the Japanese version of The Princess Diaries! A great YA with a lot of culture and a lot of heart.

The Resting Place by Camilla Sten – If you are looking for a spooky read this is it! Set in a remote estate in Sweden, a woman who witnessed her grandmother get murdered finds herself in a home she didn’t know existed. While staying there weird things start to happen… and I think you know nothing good comes after that!

What I’ve been eating:

I won’t lie to you… this was NOT the month of fancy home cooked meals. There were a lot of easy meals this month. Nothing fancy. I made one new recipe, chicken and rice casserole. It was yummy and even better the next day.

I did however buy a Ninja Blender and have started making smoothies! So far I have two favourites. This green smoothie is SO simple and so tasty and this peanut butter banana smoothie is basically dessert.

I also made some super yummy banana muffins!! The recipe only made 12 and we ate them within like 2 days because they were DELICIOUS!

What I’ve been watching:

As I mentioned last month, I’m not the biggest tv watcher but we have been watching a bit! We are still making our way through Vikings. We are so close to the end and I have so many mixed feelings but the strongest one is honestly fuck Ivar, iykyk.

We also started season 2 of Space Force which is hilarious. If you haven’t seen this show please go watch it.

What I worked on:

One of my bigger goals this year is to make some money from my blog! So I needed a way to do that and decided my first step would be affiliates! This month I finally took the step to sign up for Amazon Associates. Such a big step for me and my blog and I’m so excited!! Thanks in advance for your support and just a reminder that shopping anything through affiliate links does not cost you anymore money! I will just receive a tiny commission which ends up supporting my blogging dreams ❤

Products I’m loving:

My number 1 product I’m LOVING right now is the Ninja Blender. It was a very impulsive purchase but I’m so happy I did it because I have been using it daily. I never realized how much I enjoy smoothies until now because my other blender was not great.

I also bought a cute little Lululemon bag recently. I have been wanting a side bag that was small but could still fit my phone and stuff for when I grocery shop. My friend had this bag from Lulu and I was obsessed and then ended up seeing it at the store and knew I needed to snag it! Highly recommend it.

What I’m looking forward to:

With March next month I don’t have a ton coming up! March is one of those weird “in between” months. It is my dad’s birthday though so we will be celebrating that!

I am also looking forward to getting my email list going. I have officially started a list and you can subscribe (and would love it if you did!) but haven’t actually planned anything for an opt-in or newsletter. So that is on the to-do list this month!

Wrapping it up:

February was a good month overall for me. I had fun on Valentine’s Day with my fiancé, Nick. We went out for dinner to a really cute Italian restaurant. I planned on taking some pictures but we enjoyed ourselves way too much and the phone did not come out.

I’m really happy I was able to read 6 books this month as well! Reading is one of my favourite things to do so it’s awesome I’m able to fit it in. Another reason I love audiobooks!

If you missed any of my blog posts this month here were some of my most popular ones:
