At the beginning of the year I set some blogging goals and I figured what better way to hold myself accountable than to share some of my progress + be a little vulnerable...
🖤 100 email subscribers: I finally started an email list for my blog + I currently have 17 subscribers (thanks guys 🥰)
🤍 make money with my blog: honestly, I'm not there yet but I have been making progress with affiliate links!
💕 5 guest posts: I have done 1 guest post so far (@marissajohenry) woohoo!
💛 3k monthly page views: yeahhhh, so defs not there but I'm getting really close to 600! I may have overshot this one a little lol but hey, better too big than too small right?
💜 2k instagram followers: slowly but surely getting there! So thankful for all you wonder people!

When was the last time you let yourself dream without worrying about reality?
When we are kids we dream so big. Before society tells us there are all these rules, before our parents tell us they aren't realistic... we actually just full heartedly dreamed + believed it was possible
Todays blog post is about DREAM SETTING (like goal setting but for your dreams) 🥰 link in bio!
I'll leave you with a challenge... I want you to really truly think of one of your DREAMS. Don't be realistic, don't worry about the money/time/resources needed, just use your imagination for a minute
And then ask yourself: am I actively pursuing my dream in some way?

I notice lots of people saying to use your commute to and from work for personal development... but sometimes that's the only time you get all day to be "off"
Getting back into the office for me has been exhausting. I've also lost 2 hours every day because of the commute. I'm noticing that during that time I NEED to turn off/zone out because its my only unaccounted for time other than right before bed
So I've come to terms with not being as "productive" but also being realistic... you don't always need to be productive or learning or bettering yourself. You need rest, down time, and fun too!
Happy Friday friends! Take the time you need to care for yourself and give yourself a damn break 💕

Hey, you! Allow yourself to dream those big dreams without being ~realistic~ all the damn time ✨️🖤
Have you ever thought about a dream job or dream vacation or dream life and then talked yourself out of it bc its not "realistic" or could "never happen to you"??
Today I challenge you to let those dreams in and leave reality behind for a sec. You CAN live the life of your dreams. Will it happen overnight? No. But the ~reality~ is that it will never happen if you don't let yourself try

When I was writing this post I was very interested to see that the definition of wellness is very broad and also very different depending on where you look! My fav definition is "the active pursuit of activities, choices, and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health" from the Global Wellness Institute.

This is the reminder I wrote myself in my planner this week. The truth is, I've had big goals all my life and one of the biggest roadblocks to achieving them has been myself.
Whether your goal is fitness related, work related, or whatever else the reality is change will have to happen at some point. Because if you didn't need to make a change, you would already be at your goal!
A few changes I made recently to get closer to my goals:
• working on my blog during lunch
• signed up for beachbody (yay health)
• making time on the weekends for content creation (even when I'd rather be relaxing)
It's small stuff you guys but small steps continue to move forward and before you know it, you'll achieve so much more than you would even think possible! 💕

For all my to do list lovers: here are some tips to make your lists more effective 👇🏻
• prioritize your top tasks (try to keep it under 6)
• create subsections for your lists (work, personal, side hustle, ect)
• break down tasks into small bits + create a checklist
• give yourself deadlines!
I love a good list but I used to write some giant lists that no one could possibly complete and then feel bad about how unproductive I was!! Not anymore! Or at least, way less 😂

This week has felt like the longest week ever 🙃 so safe to say I'm ready for the weekend lol
Lets do a little wrap up!! My full April wrap up is on the blog so check that out (link in bio 🖤) but here's a small little recap:
• I read 5 books
• got a new fridge + got really organized
• went to Vegas!!
• created a freebie and have my first monthly email going out tomorrow 🙌🏻
• made some yummy meals (like the pasta salad pictured)

Do you ever end the month and realize you didn't make any progress on your goals?
A while ago I wrote a blog post about how I plan my week around my goals so that I am always making some sort of progress. That post was pretty popular and people said they loved the idea of a weekly plan thats goal oriented!

This is your reminder to keep going even when the motivation disappears
Remember that motivation is not constant but the love you have for your dreams is. Sometimes you just need a little reminder of the end goal
Some ways I like to remind myself of my own goals + dreams:
✨️ vision board (I did a virtual one and made it my computer background)
✨️ write it down (I rewrite my top 10 goals every single week when I'm planning)
✨️ talk about it (I like to share my goal progress with my fiance quite often + it helps lots with motivation)
