September 2022 Recap: The Month Where It All Came Together

September was such a refreshing month! I have always found September to feel like a fresh start and this year was no different. You know when life just feels a little stagnant? August felt like that for me. I fell out of my routines and just didn’t have the motivation to do anything. September rolled in and I felt like a new person.
Isn’t it crazy how that works? In my mind, September has always been a fresh start (school starting, my birthday, the start of a new season) so I guess I unconsciously decided I was going to refresh my life! Love that for me haha.
The beginning of September was full of fun. As the month went on there was less going on but I managed to fill my time with lots of blogging! September has been a month of growth for my blog (thanks for supporting me!!). I can’t wait to see where it keeps going from here but for now, I am in a really happy place!
So, let’s jump into the monthly recap!

What was good in September:
September was overall a month of growth. I got back into a routine and have started to really feel confident when it comes to my blog and NEW freelancing business! It feels as if things are flowing to me which is an awesome feeling!
It was my birthday in September as well (28 years old!!) and I had a lot of fun. I was super lucky and was invited to my first ever rock concert. I saw Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Joan Jett, and Poison. It was such a fantastic concert!
What I read in September:
September was a slower month for reading. Only 3 books this month! But, that’s okay. I am officially sitting at 46 books out of 50 for my Goodreads yearly goal. Woohoo!
Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey – SO CUTE! This is a must-read for Tessa Bailey fans and anyone who likes a good friends-to-lovers romance. Also, it’s set in a small fishing town if you like small town romances!!
Under the Influence by Karina May – this was alright. I was expecting it to be cuter because the synopsis mentioned enemies to lovers romance in Peru. It was not exactly what I was expecting but was still enjoyable.
The Witches of Moonshyne Manor by Bianca Marais – Loved this fun story! Golden Girls meets Hocus Pocus is how I would describe it. So many twists and turns that keep you on your toes and such wonderful friendships and love!

What I’ve been watching:
Nick and I started Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power on Amazon Prime. LOVE it! If you are a Lord of the Rings lover (or just a fantasy lover in general) you gotta check this out!
What I worked on:
I have been hard at work writing blog posts for my own blog, for other blogs (as a guest poster), and mostly recently, for a client!
I was hoping to work on a new freebie for all of you this past month but life has been so busy and now with writing more it definitely slipped by. Hoping to make some time for it in October!
Products & items I’m loving:
We are back on the air fryer grind with the weather getting a little cooler! I love how quick and easy everything is in the air fryer. It was my mom’s birthday a couple weeks ago and she loooves her air fryer too so I got her an air fryer recipe book! There are so many great recipes in there. I’m hoping she sends me some good ones to try out haha.
Also, I HAVE to tell you guys about my newest Amazon purchase. I recently bought a lamp on Amazon and let me tell you… it’s the best thing I’ve ever ordered. I love this lamp so much. It has changed my life. Dramatic but true! If you are looking for a new floor lamp this is an absolute must-have. It’s cheap, dimmable, and looks so sleek! Buy this lamp!! I am very passionate about the floor lamp if you can’t already tell lol.
What I’m looking forward to:
The biggest thing I’m looking forward to is Halloween! I just love fall and Halloween so much. It’s such a fun time of year. If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that my house is fully decorated for fall. I don’t have a ton of Halloween decorations since I live in an apartment and have limited space but I’m hoping to grab at least one new Halloween decoration this year!
Another thing I’m looking forward to is the new Taylor Swift album! Call me basic but I live for her new music! Where are my swifties at?!
Wrapping it up:
I just want to say thanks again for the ongoing support. It’s been a whole year now of blogging and getting to write and share my thoughts has been amazing. Not only is it a great feeling to know that some of my posts have helped people but it’s also a form of self-care for myself. So, thanks for always reading and leaving comments! I love to hear from you guys 🙂
I’m sad to see September go because it’s been such a great month for me but October is a welcome friend. Catch me at the pumpkin patch soon forcing Nick to take 1000 pictures of me with different sized pumpkins!
And, a small self-plug here – if you are interested in working with me in any capacity (guest posts, freelancing, etc.) please let me know! I have a little button at the top of my site now that says FREELANCE so go click on that if you are interested at all!
As always, I hope your month was fantastic!!
