The Best Smoothie Recipes For Summertime

Is there anything better than a delicious smoothie on a warm summer day? Not really! I am always looking for new smoothie recipes and since summer is coming, I am on the hunt for my new favorite smoothie!

If you’ve been around for longer than a minute than you know I often share how I am OBSESSED with my Ninja Blender. I bought it earlier this year and it seriously changed the game. Smoothies have never been so easy! I used to have one of those big blenders and while it worked fine, it was just such a hassle to deal with. Now, my Ninja Blender sits on my counter at all times. It’s small and easy to clean. LOVE IT!

Something else I often share is my love for the peanut butter banana smoothie I make every morning. I’m not kidding when I said the blender changed the game… I make smoothies EVERY morning! Now, as I said, I love my peanut butter banana smoothie but with summer coming I just feel like I need something *fresh* and new. So, let’s jump into finding the best summer smoothie recipes!

Summer in a cup via Minimalist Baker

Well, well, well, if this doesn’t scream summertime smoothie I’m not sure what does! Here is what you need for this smoothie recipe:

  • Raspberries
  • Banana
  • Almond Milk
  • Orange Juice
  • Pomegranate juice

This recipe is simple enough and sounds delicious! I’m a sucker for anything with pomegranate so this will definitely be one of the first ones I try this summer.

I think I might even get myself a special cup for my ‘summer in a cup’ smoothie! Let me know what one you think suits this drink the best!

Pineapple Mint Smoothie via Living Sweet Moments

I am growing mint on my balcony and despite me being the WORST plant parent in the world, the mint is thriving. However, I have been told that mint is really hard to kill… so maybe it’s not something to *that* proud of lol. Here is what you will need to make this yummy smoothie:

  • Pineapple
  • Mint
  • Ice
  • Water

I don’t think it can get much more simple than that! You will only need to buy 2 ingredients AND if you’d rather grow your mint than buy it, try your hand at a herb garden!

Vitamin C Smoothie via The Fitnessista

When I think of Vitamin C I think of health! So, if you make this summer smoothie you are also making a healthy smoothie (at least that’s what I keep telling myself!). Here is what you’ll need:

  • Orange juice
  • Strawberries
  • Banana
  • Goji berries
  • Lime

I don’t think I’ve ever used goji berries in anything so this will be an interesting one to try!

Watermelon Smoothie Cooler via Healthful Pursuit

Watermelon and summertime go together just right! I won’t lie, when I saw the name of this smoothie I low-key thought it was alcoholic but hey, just shows where my mind is at! Pro tip: you can add alcohol to anything lol. What you will need for this summer smoothie:

  • Watermelon
  • Strawberries
  • Coconut water

If you are like me and like slushy drinks, this one would probably be fantastic as a slushy! Grab yourself a Margarita Ville machine (I have one and I honestly thought it was a little extra but I use it so much in the summer!!). Also, grab yourself some cute marg glasses while you’re at it!

Tropical Summer Fruit Smoothie via Aberdeens Kitchen

As soon as something has ‘tropical’ in the name I immediately assume I’ll feel like I’m in Hawaii while drinking it. A girl can dream, right? Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Mango chunks
  • Strawberries
  • Pineapple
  • Vanilla yogurt

This sounds like it’s going to be *thick* and I am all for that! I think I’m going to need to get some of those cute little drink umbrellas for this one

Cherry Smoothie via Olive & Mango

In British Columbia, summer is cherry season! I always go to Kelowna, BC for a little summertime trip and it’s basically a crime if you don’t stop for some cherries! If you are a cherry lover this is what you’ll need:

  • Cherries
  • Banana
  • Almond butter
  • Almond milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • Almond extract
  • Old fashioned oats
  • Chia seeds

Wow! This is quite the recipe. This is not for those days when you are rushing to make your smoothie before work BUT this would be soooo yummy and perfect for a lazy Sunday morning when you can make a smoothie and enjoy it on the patio in the sun!

I cannot wait to try all these smoothies! Summer is going to be a lot more fun with all the healthy, yummy, and relatively simple recipes.
